Our Summer musical theatre session created another lively and entertaining week-long journey into the basics of stage performance. A Taste of Musical Theatre attendees transported onlookers back in time with their adaptation of Sock Hop at the Rockin’ Robin. The performance was not just any ordinary play—it was a delightful throwback, echoing the era of jukeboxes, diners, and some of the most timeless music that never fails to get a foot tapping.

A Taste of Theatre Camp Brings Thumbelina to Life with Lively Adaptation

Our ‘A Taste of Theatre’ June summer camp went off without a hitch. Educator, Cassie Draper, created a whimsical and entertaining adaptation of Thumbelina and the cast and crew brought it to life in a delightful and lively performance!

Students ages 7+ worked hard all week discovering the basics of theatre, learning lines, and songs, digging into their characters, and mastering their roles.

For over a decade, A Child’s Song (ACS) has been graced by the musical talent and dedication of siblings, Dara and Mohan. Twin sensations, they entered ACS Kindermusik classes over fifteen years ago, wide-eyed, excited, and with a budding curiosity for the world of music. Their journey has not merely been a story of talent, but one of unwavering determination, resilience, and a playful spirit that has echoed throughout the classrooms. As they prepare for the next stage of their lives, we reflect upon their unique journey that is as harmonious as a duet and as diverse as their musical tastes.

2023 Jam Session: A Musical Carnival Ride to Remember

Thank you to all of our students, families, and friends who attended the 2023 Spring Jam Sessions. It was truly a musical carnival ride to remember!

In lieu of regular classes, students were invited to experience music in new ways with 5 specialized rooms. Educators provided 15-minute group tutorials on instruments that many of the participants had never tried before. Sessions included: Karaoke with Cassie, Bucket Drumming with John, Ukulele with Evan, Hand Bells with Sandy, and Bass and Keys with Jared.

A Child’s Song Receives $2,500 Grant from Les Paul Foundation to Empower Young Musicians

A Child’s Song, is thrilled to announce the receipt of a $2,500 grant from the Les Paul Foundation. This generous grant will support the Northglenn Alliance program, a unique initiative designed to bring music education to children of parents enrolled in English as a Second Language (ESL) classes. This innovative partnership will provide the opportunity for children from diverse backgrounds to access high-quality music education while their parents are attending ESL courses.
