A TASTE OF MUSICAL THEATRE
AN INTRODUCTION TO THEATRE BASICS
Come get a “Tasting Of Music Theatre” as A Child’s Song debuts its 2024 Summer Theatre Camp. This week’s camp focus will be on the musical “Me, My Monsters and I”.
Description: This theater camp playfully explores the emotions in our bodies and the feelings that come with each emotion. We will explore our feelings through mindful coloring sheets, we will answer questions about ourselves, listen to music, dance, sing, and let our real-life emotions guide our feeling monsters. This camp is designed to be a Creative Drama class that will conclude with a Parent Share on Saturday. The students will not be expected to memorize their sample script, but utilize the literature to further explore their feelings’ monster intentions and how to regulate the emotions and feelings in a healthy way.
All students will get to participate in a special performance on Saturday as we bring all that has been learned to the stage!

We’re welcoming all ages to join in for our Introduction to Drumline summer clinic series! Students will have the opportunity to play on real drumline equipment- snare drums, tenor drums, and bass drums.
In this course, students will be taught basic to intermediate sight reading, learning by example, and will be able to jam and improvise along with their peers.
Learn from A Child’s Song percussion instructor Jay Cunningham, whose experience includes playing in the Odesza Drumline and Ball Arena’s Celly Squad and Skyline Drumline.
No prior drumming experience is required to join this class – it’s open to all skill levels. So, whether your child dreams of becoming a professional drummer or simply wants to explore the joys of percussion, our Introduction To Drumline Clinics will offer a lively and enjoyable introduction to the world of rhythm.
