Andy has been exposed to both music and non-profits throughout his life. Growing up in Fort Collins, CO, he would listen to his grandmother play the piano, attend many community concerts, see his mother play in a community concert band, play percussion in every band offered in school, and even create a few of his own. This culminated in playing in a popular Afro-Latin percussion group.
After earning a degree in biological science, Andy began a career in animal behavior, working in zoos, wildlife centers, and animal shelters. The desire to build better programs to reach the communities and further the goals of the non-profit organizations led him to pursue a Master of Business Administration. This increased his ability to help organizations create successful strategies and programs that benefited their mission and goals.
Andy has been an active member and has been selected for the board of directors of several non-profit organizations over the past 25 years, including the Front Range Avian Society, High Plains Environmental Center, International Association of Avian Trainers & Educators, Colorado Hawking Club, Northglenn Parks & Recreation Advisory Board, and he joined the A Child’s Song board in early 2019.

Toby Gallegos is president of GRG Consulting LLC, a business coaching and consulting firm that specializes in small and family-owned businesses.
Toby has a lifelong love of music that spans several genres. In junior high school, he was the student conductor for both the choir and band. His first instrument was the recorder, and he played the baritone horn for several years in his school’s concert band. Toby is an amateur guitarist, starting at age 15, hoping to attract girls. It finally worked, and his wife of 45 years still enjoys hearing him play.
Toby graduated from Colorado College, where he was introduced to classical guitar. Toby is President of the Boulder Guitar Society (www.boulderguitarsociety.org).
Toby serves on the board at A Child’s Song because he was drawn to the passion and dedication of its teachers and wants to support them as they instill in their students a lifelong love of music.

Marc Trost previously served as Chair of the ACS Board of Directors and Chair of its Strategic Planning Committee.
He joined the ACS Board in 2014. Marc is a past Certified Internal Auditor, Chartered Bank Auditor, a member of the Association of Public Communication Officials (APCO), and a past member of the National Board of Realtors.
Beginning in 1985, Marc held senior positions as a hospital board member, a retirement/medical senior center, a financial charitable foundation, and a local homeless advocacy charity. Marc has advanced finance, accounting, and social sciences degrees from the University of Denver and the University of Colorado.
His over forty-year career included banking, real estate, government emergency communications contract management, and 5 years as an FDIC regulator. He retired from Wells Fargo in 2020 after a total of 28 years with the bank as an auditor and compliance/risk manager. He is President of a company that manages a portfolio of real estate properties in two states.
Marc is a strong believer that “Music Grows Brains” and that offering children and adults broad opportunities to experience music and motion provides the foundation of a lifetime of learning and enjoyment.

Sierra Taylor comes from a very musical family – seven siblings – and Mom and Dad!
She has over nine years of experience working with children. She obtained an Early Childhood Certification and is currently working as a teacher at a local preschool.
Sierra started training in voice and piano at an early age and continued her education through the University of Northern Colorado.
She has performing experience in both voice and piano. Sierra is very active in her church and has been a teacher there for several years. She is a voracious reader and enjoys her quiet time. She says that one fun fact about her is that she doesn’t like chocolate!

Michelle Reeves is an internal medicine physician working as a hospitalist at Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital.
Music has always been an important part of Michelle’s life. She received a voice scholarship while attending CSU for her undergraduate degree and continues to sing, play guitar, and ukulele when time allows.
She started bringing her daughter, who was born prematurely, to the early childhood education programs at A Child’s Song since her little one was 5 months old. She has found the programs at A Child’s Song immensely beneficial for her daughter’s cognitive, motor, and social development. She looks forward to participating in family piano lessons when her daughter is old enough.
Michelle fully believes in the therapeutic and healing benefits of music. She serves on the board to support our mission of bringing music to all.
